Bar owners report revenue declines averaging 31%!

UPDATE: June 19, 2007 - The June 19, 2007 first organizational meeting was a tremendous success with nearly 30 bar owners and a variety of other industry professionals in attendance. AFOC is an organization that is promoting "freedom of choice and free enterprise" for bar and restaurant owners to be able to make the choice to allow or disallow smoking by patrons within their own establishment. As an American in a free enterprise society we should have that right to choose whether to be a smoking or a non smoking business. As an owner we need to protect our rights to operate our businesses legally and prosperously and in an atmosphere in which our investments were originally made. On Saturday afternoon, June 2nd, 2007, informational and notice flyers will be available for pickup and distribution at 9250 N. 43rd Avenue, Suite 17-18 in Glendale (Vinnie & Joey's Sports Bar). We need your help to spread the word quickly around the valley so that we can organize efficiently, develop a strategy and begin gaining more and more support. Please be prepared, if possible, to make additional copies for circulation. We have already gathered a large amount of support that is not even yet listed here on our site. But we will need much, much more. Any help in any small way will be sincerely appreciated.

We need real and hard facts, thoughts and opinions in a testimonial fashion directly from the people most affected by the new smoking laws since May 1, 2007. Are you a business owner? Are you otherwise connected or involved in an industry that has been affected? Have you otherwise been personally affected by these new laws? We need your testimonial input reduced to writing (letter) and to be publish here. In the interest of undistorted truth, both pro and con views will be respected. Unlike many campaign directors we may be able to think of, we do not intend to twist the truth. Please give it to us for all to veiw here.

We have a direction, are gaining wide support (both from bar owners and a substantial amount of industry related professionals) and are digging in to go to work.
