What is the objective of AFOC?
"Arizona Freedom of Choice" (AFOC) was formed in late May of 2007. The early response to our efforts has been outstanding and even better than had been anticipated.
The first and foremost objective of AFOC is to organize the industry in mass. This is the stage that we are in right now. For any success it will be imperative to have a broad range of support from all facets of the industry. This effort will be ongoing.
Our second objective will be to efficiently organize and develop a cohesive, collective strategy (or multiple strategies) to reform and/or defeat the new smoke free laws recently enacted in the state of Arizona. Our initial public meeting on June 19, 2007 will be the first step in this direction.
Following this, it will be necessary to identify needs and begin implementing strategies at the earliest possible time. Further, additional goals and objectives will need to be developed to ensure that our organization is moving forward in an efficient and expeditious manner.
The ultimate objective of AFOC is to reform and/or defeat these new smoking regulations with a sound approach and within the most expeditious time frame possible in the interest of all bar and restaurant owners in the state of Arizona.
It truly is not about smoking. It is about freedom of choice and free enterprise.
Any and all support, in any form, will be sincerely appreciated.
